Victor 0 Gauge

(Australia)

Little information is available about this 1930s manufacturer, with few product examples and records surviving. Various steam engine models were available through distributors, including EG Page and Co and Walther and Stevenson Ltd of Sydney, but the product origins are unknown. The illustration below has been copied from the National Museum Australia web site, which is hosting the Bruce Macdonald model train collection. The model appears to be an almost direct copy of the Bowman 300 loco, with Hornby style wheels.

For more information, and illustrations, of Australian 0 gauge models, including live steam, please see the book Spring, Spark & Steam by Bruce Macdonald.
