Testors Corporation is a US based company manufacturing a range of products for the hobby industry, including kits, paints and glues. The company was founded in 1929, producing various adhesives, paints, brushes and tools, the chimicals for which were unavailable during WWII, so scale model wooden aircraft were produced. Following the war, the chemical based range was reintroduced and expanded, as was the model range. By the 1960s plastics were replacing wood for kits and models, and Testors expanded, acquiring competitors including Hawk Model Co and others.
