All-Nation

All-Nation Hobby Shop, 1959-1978 and All-Nation Line Manufacturing Co., 1950-1972

All-Nation Manufacturing was owned by Jim Wilson from 1950 until 1959, with production based at All-Nation Model & Coin Shop located at 182 N Lasalle St, Chicago, IL. The shop dated back to the 1920s, and, in 1959 Jim Wilson retired, selling the hobby side of the business to an employee, Bob Colson. All-Nation was run by Bob Colson, his wife Marsha and their sons Terrell and Bob Jr. until 1972, when the business was sold to Bill Pope.

All-Nation bought the bankrupt GMC (see separate page) in the early 1950s, as well as Atwater Models, parts from Scale Model Railways (owned by Bill Lenoir and Jack Ferris). The manufacturing side of the business was formally separated from the shop in 1966.
