Victory Industries of Guildford was set up in 1945 by Captain William Warren and Gerald Burgoyne, initially for the production of small electrical components for the then Ministry of Supply, now Ministry of Defence. The company later produced a range of model motor cars and boats, and the VIP slot car racing system, in similar style to Scalextric. By the end of the 60s, the slot car boom was over, and VIP closed for business in March 1969.

Two slightly tenuous toy train connections. Firstly, after the closure of the business in 1969, a sale of stock and machiney took place in April, much of which was purchased by G&R Wrenn and secondly, Victory released a power unit for their slot car system, the power unit (controller) being made for Victory by Hammant and Morgan.
