Tipp and Co was run by Philip Ullman for 21 years, from 1912 until 1933 when he emigrated from Germany to England, due to the political situation in Germany at that time. Post 1933, Herr Ullman formed Mettoy in the UK and, in 1948, regained control of Tipp and Co in post war Germany.
During the period from 1933, Tipp and Co was run by an ex director of Bing, that company already having ceased production. Tipp and Co finally closed in 1971.
