Very many thanks to Ed, grandson of Dr Taylor, who made contact to advise that his maternal grandfather was Dr Michael Arkwright Taylor, who passed away in December 2004. Ed advises that Dr Taylor was a GP (general practitioner) as well as a keen modeller and cabinet maker, at one time heavily involved with both the 7 1/4 Inch Gauge Society and the Alderney Miniature Railway. Ed says that his mother (Dr Taylor's daughter) has furniture built by Dr Taylor, the furniture diplaying a small plaque as seen on the underside of the coach below. The family also has a collection of railway models built by Dr Taylor. Thank you, Ed.
