The Solido brand of die cast vehicles was established by Ferdinand de Vazeilles in 1930, initially situated in Nanterre, on the outskirts of Paris. Many early models were powered by clockwork motors. Solido eventually became part of Majorette, and is known for vehicles in a variety of scales, including 1/43.
