The model illustrated below is believed to be one of three Class 40 diesel locomotives produced by Reading Model Centre, late 1960s. The model is hand built from brass, with mesh grills, handrails, sprung buffers, rivet detail, guttering, windscreen wipers and a host of other small details including glazed windows. One motor bogie (truck) is powered with three axles driven. 12 volt DC power collection is three rail via skate. Overall loco length 500mm, weight a substantial 3.5kg.
