Alan Shorter, trading as Phoenix Model Co, was an early post war modeller who produced 0 gauge track similar to Bassett-Lowke, replica Hornby parts and rolling stock, wheels and a small series of locomotives including VR Y Class 0-6-0 tender loco, VR B and T Class diesel locos and a replica Marklin overhead electric loco. Alan Shorter passed away in 1995, some of his tooling passing to Alan Middleton.
