The Talking Station by Noma was powered by two 'D cell' 1.5v batteries, and actuated by a button on top of the station roof, or cupola. The building contains a small record player with at least four pre recorded discs available. The station was available with either red or green roof, red being the more common. At one time, Joe Mania of JLM Trains manufacturered a modern digital sound module for the Noma Talking Station.
