Lyra was a Greek toy company producing a huge range of toys for both boys and girls, perhaps the best known being the Playmobil range made in Greece under licence from the German owners. Interestingly, Lyra made original Playmobil items not available elsewhere as well as toys also made in Germany and available worldwide.
The plastic 0 gauge Play-Train set illustrated below seems to be a copy of the Meccano (Hornby) Percy set although whether made with original tooling from the Meccano asset sale, or whether a copy (licenced or not) is unknown.
