Life-Like began life in the early 1950s producing foam products, and were listed in 'Your Guide to Model Railroads', Copyright 1957, Bronco-Modelcraft, Inc. The listing mentions a large range of scenery items, track cleaner, various tunnels, lamp post and more. Life-Like purchased Varney in 1970 and, in 2005, the model railway business was sold to Walthers.
