Knapp was established in 1895, producing toys and novelties and, in 1902, a No 1 Electric Toy Train kit, followed in 1904 by a range of gauge II electric trains. The gauge II range was produced until 1913, at which point Knapp ceased toy train production until 1931 when H0 models were produced, until 1946, at which point the H0 range was sold to Bill Bowser, and Knapp ceased trading shortly thereafter.
