Kirdon Electric Limited was George Weston who began the manufacture of low voltage electrical appliances in 1946, including controllers for model railways. Kirdon controllers were produced in a range of formats for both AC and DC power, although Kirdon is perhaps best remembered for 00 gauge models including the LMS 10000 diesel locomotive and LNER N2 steam locomotive to name but two.
