US maker of jigsaws, puzzles and a range of paper/card toy train accessories. Jaymar was founded in 1925 by Jacob Marx, father of Louis Marx (founder of Marx Toys) together with Jacob's daughter Rose and son David. Jaymar card village sets were included with Marx train sets. Jaymar also produced puzzles in the Thomas the Tank Engine Series. Jaymar issued a catalog as recently as 1991, and the Thomas and James puzzles below clearly show both 1991 and 1992 copyright dates.
