Fred Icken was considered a master builder of scale models during the 1930s and 40s, his model locomotives being known for reliable, continuous running. The Icken model PRR GG1 was cast in two halves, split lengthways and contemporary catalog illustrations show four motors fitted, with wiring via overhead catenary.
