Hubley Manufacturing Company was formed by John Hubley in 1894, and, whilst not a manufacturer of toy trains, was producing die cast toys by 1909, many of which are suitable for use with 0 gauge toy trains. Hubley was acquired by the Lido Toy Company in 1965, although the Hubley name continued even after Hubley was sold to Gabriel in 1969, and to CBS Toys in 1980. Interestingly, Hubley tooling was sold by CBS to Ertl, and models from original Hubley tooling were still being produced into the 1990s.
