Henry and Farthing

(London UK)

The passenger coach wooden roofs and bases illustrated below were offered via eBay (UK), and described as being by Henry and Farthing. The only mention of Henry and Farthing found by Google was a Grace's Guide entry :

Henry and Farthing of 33-37 Bell Street, Edgware Road, London, NW1. Telephone: Paddington 3900

1947 British Industries Fair Advert as Manufacturers of: "Ternex" Brand Quality Precision Woodwork and Joinery; Reproduction Mantels and Panelling; Painted Small Piece Furniture; Table Woodware. Old Rooms Reconstructed. Precision Woodware Machine Turned and Fabricated. Joinery, Staircases, Built-in Fitments, Custom Built and Fixed. (Fancy Goods Section - Olympia, 1st Floor, Stand No. F.1884).

The same Henry and Farthing? The trade name Ternex was used, and there is a Ternex Limited near Welwyn Garden City, joiners, cabinet makers etc., although no known connection.
