Founded by Gordon Usherwood in 1936, Fleet Scale Model was initially a manufacturer of track parts, then war related work during WWII, returning to model railways after the war. Ready to run tinplate track was produced together with bogies (trucks) for both passenger and freight car use, freight car kits, signals and other parts, both 0 and H0. Production was reduced after 1970 and curtailed completely shortly afterwards. Gordon Usherwood passed away in 1979.
