Figura

(Amsterdam, The Netherlands)

The Figura company was an active producer of wooden toys during the 1950s, and possibly earlier (1940s), initially in the St. Jansstraat then the Joden Houttuinen in Amsterdam. Toys were featured in hobby magazines until 1958, production believed to have ceased by 1959 at which time buildings in Joden Houttuinen were demolished.

The company was known for dolls houses, and also produced wooden garages for Dinky Toy sized vehicles, and wooden 0 scale railway accessories. The toys were sold in toy shops and the Dutch Vroom & Dreesman department stores.
