Durham Industries of Hong Kong produced a series of clockwork and battery powered plastic sets in the 1970s, complete with plastic track. The sets will happily run on traditional tinplate track, although battery powered locomotives do suffer slightly as modern batteries are lighter in weight than originals, reducing adhesion.
