British Flyer 0 Gauge

British Flyer was a modest range of train sets, made by American Flyer, for export to Great Britain, c1920. Three different locomotives are known, two tender locos and one tank loco, together with passenger coaches for LNWR (London North Western Railway) and GNR (Great Northern Railway), both four and eight wheeled. Locomotives were cast iron, clockwork powered while coaches were of tinplate construction. Tenders appear to be standard US market production. British Flyer sets were supplied by Gamages of Holborn (London) who may have been the sole importer.

The George V loco was fitted with either smaller 8 spoke or larger 14 spoke driving wheels, as illustrated below.
