Thomas G Bedell introduced the B-Lectric cast brass box cab locomotive in 1936. The loco was 0 gauge with a scale of approximately 1/4", and weighed 14 pounds. The drive was known for excellent pulling power. Bedell offered a drive train for Ed Alexander's GG1, after Alexander ceased production, circa 1941. During 1944 Thomas G Bedell sold his business to Baldwin Model Locomotive Works, who joined forces with Walthers to offer Bedell models, and expand the range with additional diesel locomotives.
