Sablon introduced a range of 1/43 scale vehicles in 1968, followed by Mercedes trucks. Sablon produced vehicles for Jacques Super Chocolat as part of a chocolate promotion, such models marked Jaques rather than Sablon. Models were also provided by Sablon for Japanese manufacturer Yonezawa and Spanish maker Nacoral. Sablon at one time sold smaller models by Efsi of Holland. These were approximately Matchbox sized models, in blister packs.
Sablon are remembered for the wheels and tyres of their models. Due to a chemical reaction between the materials used for wheels and tyres, most, if not all, of those seen today are deformed, as illustrated by the images below.
