Nylint Tool and Manufacturing was established by two brothers and their uncle in 1937, based in Rockford Illinois, initially producing kitchen utensils and other cast items as sub contractors. By 1941, Nylint was engaged in war work, then, late 1945, after war related work finished, the company moved to toy production. It is believed that Nylint sub contracted toy production work to Carter Tru-Scale until Nylint's own in house facilities were fully established. Nylint continued producing pressed steel toy vehicles and accessories until 2001, when Nylint ceased trading.
