Railway Accessories Set 1 was issued 1924-41, with multiple amendments during those years although the basic five piece content, one truck and four items of luggage (large round top trunk, small suitcase, hamper and smaller flat top trunk) remained constant.

Railway Accessories Set 3 (1924-41) was initially five pieces (post box, ticket machine, nametape machine and two seats). The tin printed post box was replaced by a Dinky Toy die cast box in 1935, and a fire hose box added, circa 1936. The set was first described as Miniature Platform Accessories, followed by Railway Accessories No 3, finally Platform Machines and Seats.

Hornby Railway Accessories Sets 8 and 9 (Notice Boards and Station Names) were available from 1929 until 1941. The signs themselves remained unchanged although the base colour was amended from a darker blue (1929-33) to a lighter blue/grey (1933-39) and finally green (1939-41).
