Clé was established by Clément Gaget in 1958 to produce plastic toys, many vehicles being to 1/43-1/48 scale. Clé is Key in French, and a key is used as a trade mark. Larger toys, 1/32 scale, have more detail and a friction motor. The company appears to have ceased production during the 1970s.
