Meccano

Steam

Meccano Limited, perhaps best known for the constructions sets of the same name, not to mention Dinky Toys and Hornby Trains, also produced three steam engines. The first was in 1920, and the second in 1929. Both were fitted with a vertical boiler. A third was issued in 1965, although manufactured by Mamod, for Meccano.

Meccano also famously issued the Kayes 'K' oil cans, (numbers 1 and 2) and this is perhaps the ideal place for photos, although the cans were originally advertised as being suitable for applying lubrication to Meccano models and Hornby Trains.
