Truescale were one of several British manufacturers of wooden signals following the Second World War, when steel was still a restricted material. The very early versions have delicate wooden arms, which were quickly replaced by aluminium, a metal in common supply by this time and easy to work. The range is quite extensive and was available in 0 and 00 sizes. Various wooden buildings were also produced, including goods depots, signal boxes and stations.
