Marx AB units, in Canadian Pacific livery.
The following is the description used on eBay, when I bought the units :
These locomotives were designed to work under a Christmas tree but now, with all their added/improved features they will delight any mature model railroad operator. The powered F7A and dummy F7B were created American but now are Canadian by choice and could be at home on either side of the border. Both units have been beautifully and faithfully refinished in official Canadian Pacific Tuscan red, with yellow lettering.
Two new Lionel-manufactured passenger cars, similarly styled, complete the consist. All units have AAR-type couplers so that each can hook up with any Lionel-type stock.
The F7A lead unit has a power on-off switch integrated behind the front coupler. The Fwd/Res reverser works without a flaw as does the powerful AC motor and two pick-ups. Ballast has been installed at the front end to ensure stability at all speeds; installed new dual horns and the cab light works. New machined solid brass wheels replace originals on both locomotives; the F7A has two rubber-tired wheels at rear end.
The train runs on O-27 gauge rails and it can handle all Lionel or Marx rail switches and all tight curves.
This one-of-a-kind CP train has been fully reconditioned, upgraded and refinished with the practical operator in mind but it is not shy in looks on display; to some it would be a reminder of an era almost forgotten on North American/Canadian rails.
