Most of the lights were wired to a total of five 12v transformers, although the wires themselves ran across the top of the boards. Too many lights wired to one transformer lead to overload problems.
The people and animals are a selection of British and American products, and are all either die cast, or lead, except the modern plastic Harry Potter and Ron figures, with the blue Corgi Ford Anglia.
