The first section of pavement, or sidewalk, in place. The base was cut from an offcut of hardboard (Masonite), and completely covered in paving paper, complete with curb stones around the edges. The buildings can be placed anywhere, without danger of bare board being on show. Next to be paved is the area where the fire station stands.
