Max Kraft

(Zurich Switzerland)

Max Kraft (7th February 1902 to 20th May 1988) was a skilled engineer employed by the Zurich municipal tramway who, in his spare time, built a range of 0 gauge model railways, together with pantographs which he supplied to Keiser and Hermann. Locomotives produced include a small 2 axle model, the SBB models Ae 3/6 (fitted with Lionel reverse unit) and, later, Ae 4/7 which was powered by two Keiser motors. Four wheeled passenger cars were produced and also supplied to Erno.
