The biscuit (US - cookie) manufacturing business of De Beukelaer’s Fabrieken was founded by baker Eduard De Beukelaer in 1875, in Antwerp, Belgium, as Belgium's first industrial biscuit manufacturer. Biscuits were often sold in tins which, when empty, could be used as money boxes - or decorations for 0 gauge tinplate train displays.
