
The Constructioneer toy building system was created by Urbana Manufacturing Company c1946, initially with three sets numbered 4, 6 and 8, a fourth, set 12, added later. Sets 4 and 6 were supplied in card boxes while the larger sets, 8 and 12, featured an electric 'Wasp' motor and sturdy pressed steel carry case. The system, which was not unlike Erector and Meccano, although with holes at 7/16th rather than 1/2 inch centres, was available for approximately six years.
The Constructioneer range included parts to build Ferris Wheels and Carousels, as illustrated by the seats and horses below.
