Merlin was an LNER A4 class Pacific (4-6-2) loco, but the model is a modest 2-4-0. Note the rather undersized four wheeled tender. The model is battery powered, enabling it to run on any 0 gauge track, whether designed for clockwork or electric operation. The boiler front hinges down, revealing the battery compartment.
