The history of coaches (passenger cars) sold by Bassett-Lowke is interesting, in that the majority were actually manufactured by outside contractors, usually well known toy and model makers in their own right. Examples include Bing, Carette and Exley. Coaches were also manufactured by Winteringham Ltd for BL, although Winteringham was the manufacturing arm of BL.
