American Flyer Collectors Club
The American Flyer Collectors Club issued 84 quarterly magazines entitled The Collector from Volume 1 Number 1 in 1978 to Volume 21 Number 4, in 1998. Publication is believed to have ceased due to the failing eyesight of Frank Hare, founder of the club and editor of The Collector. The club ceased to exist shortly thereafter, with no-one willing to take over Frank Hare's contributions to running the club.

American Flyer Reference Books
Although at first glance it would appear that most US toy train books are devoted to Lionel, there are some dedicated to American Flyer, although coverage of pre war wide and 0 gauge is limited.
