Lindsay Adams specialised in sand casting models in brass and aluminium, supplied to retailers. A quote from Mr Adams, in a catalogue :
Please note that all parts produced by us in "O" gauge, or other gauge, for Lobaugh, Varney, Hines, Central Locomotive Works, Central Lines Mfg. Co., Bill Lenoir, Great Western Locomotive Works, Practical Models, Model Structures, Troxel Bros., Dayton Model Products, and others, are purchaseable through them, ONLY. For not asking us to sell you their items, we again say - "Thanks."
One of Adams and Son's largest customers was GMC General Models Corporation, and, when GMC ceased trading in 1951, leaving unpaid bills, Adams and Son's foundry closed shortly thereafter.
